AURUM HOME CARE - QUALITY OF LIFE
Aurum Home Care believes every islander deserves the best possible quality of life.
Putting clients, their families and carers at the heart of everything they do, Aurum strives to raise the standard of home care across Jersey.
Aurum Home Care is registered with the island’s Long Term Care scheme – which allows for Social Services’ clients to be cared for – and is also an approved provider registered with the Jersey Care Commission.
The business is family owned. Lynda Febers – who has over 25 years’ experience in nursing and care – is joined by her daughter Lucy-Ann who manages Aurum’s growing team of care givers.
Lynda described the reason behind establishing Aurum Home Care in 2024, “From the outset we wanted to provide a high-quality, safe, responsive home care service to islanders. We pride ourselves in having achieved that. From the office team to every single one of our community support workers, we are professional, reliable and trustworthy. We always listen to our clients and their families before jointly agreeing what level of care is best for them.”
A PASSION FOR CARING
Working in care can be hard at times, but it can also be the most rewarding and fulfilling career path for those with a passion for putting others first.
Aurum Home Care’s desire to deliver an exceptional care service is evident at every level. The management, office team, long term colleagues and even the newest members of staff are united behind the company’s ambition to operate at the highest levels of care and customer service.
Team Aurum’s values-based approach to caring for islanders while nurturing and developing staff, means happier people who are well cared for on both sides of the carer/client relationship.
Aurum’s clients and their families are always given the utmost respect. Everybody involved has a voice and they’re assured of feeling safe in their own homes. Engaging with Aurum Home Care means you or your cherished family member will receive the best quality care.
HIGH STANDARDS AS STANDARD
The word ‘Aurum’ is the Latin word for gold and Aurum Home Care aspires to offer a gold standard in care.
Aurum takes pride in having the most caring team, supporting clients but also look out for each other.
Offering a range of opportunities from live in care to community support work, Aurum provides full-time, and contract hours which allow for flexibility in fulfilling and rewarding work.
Lynda added, “We are always on the lookout for new talent in our industry or we can support people with the right values to make a move into care. As with many other places, Jersey has a growing number of people living longer. We want to grow our team to make sure we can support in the community where there is a need, as much as possible.”
If you’re considering a career move you should consider the opportunities at Aurum. The company is passionate about their clients’ care but equally the team’s wellbeing is given high priority.
Career development and vocational training is offered for Aurum’s carefully selected healthcare workers. A full induction programme for every new team member provides initial exposure to the ‘Aurum way’ and allows for everyone’s strengths to be properly assessed before they’re assigned to well matched clients.
