In just two years, Aurum Home Care has grown from a small start-up with four employees into one of the island’s most visible and values-driven homecare providers. The company, which officially opened its doors in Summer 2023, now boasts a much larger, diverse and dedicated team and has recently relocated to a larger, purpose-built office space — a clear signal of its ambitions for the future.

Founded on the principles of family, compassion, and trust, Aurum Home Care is quickly becoming known not just for its personalised approach to care, but also for its dynamic business evolution and forward-thinking ethos.

“We started out in a single office with just a handful of people and a big vision,” said company Director and co-Founder, Lynda Febers. “What we have found most rewarding is that our growth hasn’t come at the cost of our values — if anything, it’s allowed us to strengthen them.”

A Rapid Rise — Rooted in Personalised Care

Aurum Home Care began with a simple yet powerful mission: to deliver high-quality homecare to clients across Jersey with warmth, empathy, and a personal touch. This approach resonated with families seeking more than just basic care — they wanted connection and consistency.

Now, two years on, the company has not only scaled in size but also in sophistication. Today, it serves a wide range of clients with varying needs, and has built a reputation for reliability, flexibility, and genuine human involvement.

“From the beginning, our model has been about treating every client with respect and caring for them with the dignity they deserve.” said Lynda. “That philosophy is still at the heart of everything we do.”

New Headquarters and In-House Training

This summer, the company is taking a significant step by relocating to a new, expanded office space. The move is about more than just room to grow — it will involve the opening of in-house training rooms designed for manual handling, first-aid, and safeguarding courses.

This investment in training infrastructure signals a strong commitment to the professional development of staff and the safety of clients — two priorities in an increasingly regulated and scrutinised care sector.

“By hosting our own training courses, we ensure all our staff are not only qualified but confident and prepared,” says Lucy-Anne Febers, Lynda’s daughter and company co-Founder. “It also builds camaraderie among our teams, which translates to better care for our clients. I’m delighted to have undertaken training so we can pass on best-practice and up to date knowledge to our team in-house.”

A New Look, Online and On the Road

If you've noticed some smartly branded cars travelling around the island in recent months, you’ve likely spotted Aurum’s latest addition: brand new and fully branded vehicles. More than just a mode of transport, the cars increase visibility and reinforce the company’s growing presence on the island.

In the first half of 2025, Aurum has overhauled its digital presence. A redesigned website now offers improved navigation, detailed service information, and a careers section aimed at attracting passionate professionals who align with the company’s ethos. Additionally, the company has embraced social media marketing with renewed energy, producing a quarterly newsletter and frequent blog content about “life at Aurum”.

More and more people are following and liking Aurum’s digital content that has included professionally filmed videos and fresh photography produced on island using real staff stories and client testimonials.

A Culture That Retains and Promotes

One of the most telling signs of a healthy workplace is its ability to retain and promote talent. Aurum Home Care proudly points to the fact that several of its original staff remain with the company — many of whom have progressed into senior and leadership roles.

“We’ve seen people come in as carers and grow into team leaders,” says Lynda “It’s incredibly satisfying to watch people develop professionally in an environment that supports them.”

Standards, Safety, and Staying Ahead

As the care industry evolves, so too must its providers. Aurum Home Care places a strong emphasis on maintaining compliance with care commission standards, health and safety protocols, and up-to-date care practices. Training is regular, rigorous, and always evolving to match the latest developments in the field.

“Excellence in care isn’t just about compassion — it’s also about competency,” explains Lucy-Anne. “We aim to exceed the standards, not just meet them.”

What’s Next? Continuing the Journey with Heart

What does the future hold for Aurum Home Care?

According to the company’s leadership team, the next phase will focus on deepening community engagement, expanding the team, and broadening services while holding tightly to the values that set them apart.

There’s also talk of expanding partnerships within the broader health and wellbeing space, and potentially introducing new technologies to streamline communication and care coordination.

“We want to grow, but we want to grow with purpose,” says Lynda “We’ll always prioritise quality over quantity, and relationships over transactions.”

The Golden Years

More and more islanders are living longer and wish to enjoy the comfort of their home surroundings well into their golden years. The domiciliary care industry in Jersey continues to grow to keep pace with the increased demand for quality home care services. Aurum Home Care stands out for its steady leadership, values-led approach, and investment in their clients and staff.

As they mark two years in business, their story offers a refreshing reminder that success in care isn’t just about numbers — it’s about making people feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for.

If the first two years are any indication, the future for Aurum Home Care is not just bright — it’s golden.
