Aurum Home Care is Building a Brighter Future

In just two years, Aurum Home Care has transformed from a small start-up with four dedicated employees into one of the island’s most visible and values-driven homecare providers. Officially opening its doors in Summer 2023, the company now boasts a much larger and more diverse team. Recently, it relocated to an expanded, purpose-built office space — a clear indication of its ambitions for the future.

A Foundation of Family, Compassion, and Trust

Founded on the principles of family, compassion, and trust, Aurum Home Care is becoming well-known not only for its personalized approach to care but also for its dynamic evolution and forward-thinking ethos.

“We started out in a single office with just a handful of people and a big vision,” says company Director and co-Founder, Lynda Febers. “What we have found most rewarding is that our growth hasn’t come at the cost of our values. If anything, it has allowed us to strengthen them.”

A Rapid Rise — Rooted in Personalized Care

Aurum Home Care began with a simple yet powerful mission: to deliver high-quality homecare to clients across Jersey with warmth, empathy, and a personal touch. This approach resonated with families seeking more than just basic care — they wanted connection and consistency.

Standing Out in a Competitive Landscape

Now, two years on, the company has scaled not only in size but also in sophistication. It serves a wide range of clients with varying needs and has built a reputation for reliability, flexibility, and genuine human involvement.

“From the beginning, our model has been about treating every client with respect and caring for them with the dignity they deserve,” Lynda states. “That philosophy is still at the heart of everything we do.”

New Headquarters and In-House Training

This summer, the company is taking a significant step by relocating to a new, larger office space. This move is about more than just room to grow; it involves opening in-house training rooms for manual handling, first aid, and safeguarding courses.

Investing in the Future: Staff Development

This investment in training infrastructure signals a strong commitment to the development of staff and the safety of clients — two priorities in an increasingly regulated care sector.

“By hosting our own training courses, we ensure all our staff are not only qualified but confident and prepared,” explains Lucy-Anne Febers, Lynda’s daughter and co-Founder. “It also builds camaraderie among our teams, which translates to better care for our clients. I’m delighted to have undertaken training so we can pass on best practices and up-to-date knowledge to our team in-house.”

A New Look, Online and On the Road

Have you noticed smartly branded cars traveling around the island recently? If so, you’ve likely spotted Aurum’s latest addition: brand new and fully branded vehicles. More than just transportation, the cars enhance visibility and reinforce the company’s growing presence on the island.

Enhancing Digital Engagement

In the first half of 2025, Aurum overhauled its digital presence. A redesigned website now offers improved navigation, detailed service information, and a careers section aimed at attracting passionate professionals who align with the company’s ethos. Additionally, the company has embraced social media marketing with renewed energy, producing a quarterly newsletter and frequent blog content about “life at Aurum.”

More people are following and liking Aurum’s digital content, which includes professionally filmed videos and fresh photography featuring real staff stories and client testimonials.

A Culture That Retains and Promotes

A strong workplace is often measured by its ability to retain and promote talent. Aurum Home Care proudly highlights that several original staff members remain with the company, many of whom have progressed into senior and leadership roles.

“We’ve seen people come in as carers and grow into team leaders,” shares Lynda. “It’s incredibly satisfying to watch people develop professionally in an environment that supports them.”

Standards, Safety, and Staying Ahead

As the care industry evolves, so too must its providers. Aurum Home Care emphasizes maintaining compliance with care commission standards, health and safety protocols, and up-to-date care practices. Training is regular, rigorous, and always evolving to match the latest developments in the field.

“Excellence in care isn’t just about compassion — it’s also about competency,” Lucy-Anne explains. “We aim to exceed the standards, not just meet them.”

What’s Next? Continuing the Journey with Heart

What does the future hold for Aurum Home Care?

According to the company’s leadership team, the next phase will focus on deepening community engagement, expanding the team, and broadening services while holding tightly to the values that set them apart.

There’s also talk of expanding partnerships within the broader health and wellbeing space and potentially introducing new technologies to streamline communication and care coordination.

“We want to grow, but we want to grow with purpose,” Lynda states. “We’ll always prioritize quality over quantity, and relationships over transactions.”

The Golden Years

More island residents are living longer and wish to enjoy the comfort of their homes well into their golden years. The domiciliary care industry in Jersey continues to grow to meet the increased demand for quality home care services. Aurum Home Care stands out for its steady leadership, values-driven approach, and investment in their clients and staff.

As they celebrate two years in business, their story serves as a refreshing reminder that success in care isn’t just about numbers — it’s about making people feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for.

If the first two years are any indication, the future for Aurum Home Care is not just bright — it’s golden.
